Owner & Program director
Welcome to my corner of the web!
My journey began in 2015 when my family moved to Sherwood for work. I was hired to train a new franchise owner for a different company; little did I know that our relocation would lead to a significant career shift and my passion for coaching at Tumblebears. In 2018, when the gym opened its doors, I was given the opportunity to join as the conditioning coach. Under the mentorship of Lauren Hawkins—who brought a wealth of experience from her gymnastics background and her family's gym in New York—I dedicated three years to honing my skills and sharing my love for the sports. By 2021, I took a bold step and became the owner of the gym, embracing the challenges and joys of coaching on my own. Since then, I've poured my heart into building Tumblebears into what it is today, continually striving for growth and excellence.
My "why" for doing this is rooted in my belief in a well-balanced life, starting with our mental health, followed by our physical well-being. Great coaches are invaluable in our lives—they understand us and motivate us to become the best versions of ourselves. It brings me immense joy to witness the growth of our young athletes year after year. I feel truly blessed to have worked with so many incredible families, and I am committed to nurturing that growth as we continue to evolve together. I often remind myself on this journey that God comes first, and I am second, for path forward is always changing. To keep this in mind, I have Jeremiah 29:11 displayed in both gyms.
“For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Meet Belle and Mason, two passionate young athletes who embody the spirit of competition and a healthy lifestyle. At 16 years old, Belle has developed a love for competitive volleyball, showcasing her dedication and skill on the court. Meanwhile, 12-year-old Mason thrives in the world of baseball while also enjoying horse riding, blending his athletic pursuits with a love for animals.
Growing up, athletics played a significant role in their lives; we embraced every sport possible, which has helped nurture their passion for competition. Promoting a healthy lifestyle has always been a priority for our family, and our home gym became a vital part of that journey. As the kids matured, I recognized the need for a larger space to facilitate their athletic growth, leading to the creation of Gym A. We aim to foster a love for fitness and sports that resonates with everyone who steps through our doors. We hope you enjoy our space as much as we do!
